A Bob Day

There once was a dog name Bob.

He lived in a jar of pickles near the door.

All the ants were his friends. He had many friends.

He would give them sugar for breakfast.

His friends were very happy to be Bobs friend.

Bob took them for rides around the yard.

They would play in the dirt and run through the grass.

Bob had thousands of friends and felt very loved.

He played hard all summer until the fall.

He was sad during the winter when his friends went to bed,

But was happy to see them in the cool spring air.

First dance..

Audrey and friend Jessica.

O... my word! Audrey went to her first church dance today. Where has all the time gone? She is so grown up now, leaving dad in the dust. It is hard to keep up with all these big changes. I guess all you other old timers are used to this by now. This dad is just starting to see how fast things move in the new world of having a teenager in the house. I am still trying to get over the idea that all teenagers have to have cell phones... -Scott

Scout Clean up day

We had a lot of fun helping out during the Scount service project. The food was good and the camping was great with our trusty 6 inch foam sleeping gear. We all had a great boogie boarding time after the hard work.

We have a good group of kids and Hank had fun. - Scott

"the quintessential Shakespeare Santa Cruz experience: full of humor and power and leaving the audience wanting more."

Another season coming to a close and we all had fun doing the Shakespeare thing. We saw plays and toured back stage with family and friends. The kids joined us to see Much Ado About Nothing. From all their laughing I think they really liked it. For Kate and I it is a tradition to sit under the beautiful cool redwoods and soak in the wit of the Bard. Hmm-mmm-good. -Scott

Hank is now in middle school.

Santa Cruz summer beach time.

This is a year for changes. Audrey is in high school now and Hank is in middle school. They both are ready to take on the new year with brave smiles and a an eagerness to learn and do thier best. After a full summer of playing hard it is good to get back in the swing of things. We still go to the beach every week and go to local events but now with the juggling of homework and some sports. Maybe now I can get to some of the needed yard work before the rains come. Sarah is happy to have two of her best friends in her class this year. -Scott
