Higbees in Disneyland 07!

Well, we've been home for a week, but there has been a few hang-ups with the blog so we are back and blogging! Our family vacation was wonderful! The weather was in the 80's, we had all of Disneyland to ourselves, the kids were great, the hardest part of the whole vacation was coming home and tackling a huge mound of laundry and housework with no end. Oh isn't reality grand?? The trip couldn't have been any better other that a short bout with the stomach flu that I had on the first day. Thanks to an entire bottle of hand sanitizer and a whole day of "don't touch mommy" no one else got sick. Despite the urge to get sick, I toughed it out and went on every ride. I was fine until California Screamin' (an upside down roller coaster) then it was all over for me for the day! We didn't let a little sickness slow us down though. Kaels favorite ride was the Tower of Terror, a scary ride where you take an elevator ride to the Twilight Zone, he is one brave kid! Saxon of course loved the Buzz Lightyear ride where you get to shoot guns! And Vienna liked Space Mountain which was different this year because the whole roller coaster ride was set to the Red Hot Chili Peppers! She has great taste! Disneyland was great! The beach was o.k. in the OC, but San Diego was much nicer! Vienna even went in for a SHORT swim. The beach was packed and everyone had a great time. The kids loved Sea World and Bryce and Vienna braved it on the third row of the Shamu show. They call it the SOAK ZONE and for good reason I might add. They got soaked all right, but not as bad as the next section over. The kids really had a great time. So, another visit to the mormon family mecca. Yes, I guess we are the ultimate cliche, but who cares, We had a great time!

California Snow Storm

The snow was so heavy and thick. We were surprised we were able to get out without getting stuck. The kids have never been in this much snow before swirling around their smiliing faces. You can tell we are beach people who don't get around snow much.

We were in a snow storm in the Calif Sierra mountains north of Yosemite near Dodge Ridge Ski resort.
We had lots of fun.
I guess this is the season for snow boarding in the mountains. Hank's first time was a great success. He went down more difficult runs from top to bottom without falling. That's more than I can say for myself. I'm just glad I didn't break something other than my pride.

Presidents day.

Some fun things to do.

We are looking for things to do on our day off from school and work and I think we have done almost everything. Don't want to drive anywhere so we will see some flowers, animals, and back to the beachboardwalk for a little fun.
Hope your having a great time this week.

A Fun Weekend with Jessica!

Hangin out at the Higbees watchin the Superbowl!
Jessica, the snowboardin' HOTTIE!
This is Bobby the ROCKER! "I'm not gonna lie to you!" The COOLEST chicks in the whole world!!

Jessica and her friend Bobby came down for the weekend to hang out and go snowboarding. We had a great time. Snowboarding at Brighton was great even though the snow could have been a little better. Jess is now suffering from a bit of a sore butt, but I think she'll live. She did awsome for her second time, Iwas totally surprised! Her friend Bobby is somewhat of a pro and showed us all up. I realized that I need to quit being so wimpy. I love ripin' up the mountain as long as I don't fall and get hurt. Bobby helped me realize that I need to get crazy every once and awhile and hit some sweet jumps. If I wreck, at least I had fun doing it right?

We came back to mom and dad's house where we enjoyed a fabulous dinner and some pretty entertaining videos of the Indiana Halversens when they lived out here. That was a treat seeing Jess when she was 6, LISP and all! Let's just say she was quite embarrassed!!

Today they came back to our house for dinner and a very small Super Bowl party. The kids LOVED playing with Jess and Bobby and couldn't leave them alone. Jumping on the tramp, playing games, wrestling, and array of acrobatics has left them very tired and ready to relax in the freezing cold of Rexburg. The weather was pretty nice here in Utah and they were not too excited for the frozen tundra! We had a great time and can't wait for them to come back so we can carve up the mountain!

Kate and Scott's Anniversary.

Carmel by the sea day with kate.

We had a blast.
Lots of great sun, sand, and serf. Also a little shopping, to expensive to buy anything but it was fun looking. We did find a great little 1.500 square foot home for 5.9 million. "If I were a rich man, La-de-da-de-da-de-daaaaa".
